Hot shoe adapter for Sony NEX-5 and NEX-5N gets the hands-on treatment
The Sony NEX-7 we reviewed last month is the only cam from the NEX line to include a hot shoe for attaching an external flash, but Sony just introduced a workaround for the NEX-5N and NEX-5, a hot shoe adapter that will ship for $79.99. Engadget Chinese got to handle a unit and gave it a spin on the NEX-5N. In addition to allowing for an external flash, the adapter lets you automatically sync with the internal one, with the recommended max shutter speed being 1/ 250s. Our sister site’s hands-on version didn’t allow for tightening the screw position with a coin, which resulted in the adapter coming a bit loose — so perhaps this isn’t the exact model that will ship. Seriously, though, while the premise behind Cargo-Bot may seem effortless, it’s actually nothing of the sort. In the game, players must program a crane to properly situate boxes, but with the help of loops and conditional variables, it rewards players for discovering the most efficient method. We definitely dig the idea behind Cargo-Bot, but what makes it truly unique is the fact that it was programmed entirely on the iPad with Codea — which also makes it a first of its kind. Tim Burton ‘Never’ Considered ‘Dark Shadows’ A Comedy
Director also opens up on ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel and whether he’d return to ‘Batman.’

Fans of the classic late-’60s soap “Dark Shadows” were surprised when the trailer for the film made it seem like director Tim Burton had reimagined his subject matter as a farcical comedy rather than the dark, Gothic soap opera fans remembered. Since then, there have been whispers that the film is far darker than it is being marketed, so we went straight to the source to find out what is really up with the buzzed-about film.
At CinemaCon 2012, MTV News asked Burton if he felt the trailer is reflective of his film, which hits theaters May 11, and while he admits there are humorous elements to the film, he said he doesn’t believe it can be classified as a comedy.
“Everything that’s in [the trailer] is in the movie,” Burton told MTV News. “It’s a funny film for me, because I never considered it a comedy. I was always trying to capture the weird vibe of ‘Dark Shadows,’ which is a weird thing to try to capture. It was a weird daytime soap opera.”
Burton, a longtime “Shadows” fan who said he “recalls the show affectionately,” said that whatever humor is in the film is there because the situation Barnabas is in when he is unearthed 200 years after being buried is innately humorous.
“It’s not like I’m being campy with it or anything,” Burton said. “The guy’s been locked in a box for 200 years, and [when] he comes out … something weird is going to happen.”
As for comparisons to his previous films, most notably “Edward Scissorhands,” Burton said he can see the link, but confessed that there are many subtle differences between Barnabas Collins and any other character he’s put onscreen.
“Edward Scissorhands was more of a naive character. Barnabas has been around the block a few times,” Burton told MTV News with a laugh. “There is something about a character who doesn’t quite fit into the world, which is similar, just in this case, he’s been around a long time.”
Burton also gave us up-to-date news on one project many of his biggest fans are very excited for: “Beetlejuice 2.” The film is being written by “Shadows” scribe Seth Grahame-Smith, and for Burton, that’s as far as things have gotten.
“He’s working away on it,” the director said of Grahame-Smith, “so I’m just waiting to see what he does.”
As for whether we can expect him to make a return to “Batman,” the film franchise he started with the original 1989 blockbuster, he was straight to the point, saying, “I think I have enough on my plate.”

So I went to church today and got a great message that I needed to share/jot down, if not for anyone else, at least for myself.? This may not be completely in Blog format.? This is from a series of sermons on the subject of Marriage that have been preached by Zion Church? s Pastor Keith Battle.? These were parts that I took away from it.? I didn?t write every point because some resonated more with me than others.

- Dont have your woman invest her time with you and then let someone else reap the fruits that she sowed.
- Stay true to your promise.? It wasn?t only to her.? It was also to God.
- We as humans often want things we can?t have and have things we take for granted.
- If you want to grow spiritually, recognize that it will happen tremendously through your marriage.
- Great way to sum things up -? If you want to serve Jesus, stay single.? If you want to BE like Jesus, get married.
- Keep in mind that the more difficult your spouse is, the greater potential you have for spiritual growth.
- Marriage puts a magnifying glass on every flaw and dysfunction of self.
- Your spouse can tap into every personal dysfunction within you.
- As humans, we both have weaknesses and flaws.
- Often times Differences can be judged as weaknesses because that is not how we are. (Arguing vs being silent) ?I must be right because this is how I do it.?
- When you focus on something about your spouse you want to change, it grows but you don?t.? So you stay stuck and immature and don?t grow.
- When I focus on SELF, God can humble me and work on ME, and I grow.? If I grow, even if she doesn?t change, I may be able to grow and mature enough to be able to accept her as she is, even if she never changes.
- I can still make requests. Just stay away from demands.
- Requests bring opportunities for gifts.? Demands require payment.? Payment feels WAY DIFFERENT than Gifts.
- Don?t Ride Negative thoughts about a spouse.? Forgive.? Let It Go (TD Jakes)
- Grow up.? Stop saying (I?m not that type of person to do X, Y, & Z even though she is requesting it.? It may take your relationship to the next level.? How are you going to want your relationship to go to the next level and not expect yourself to have to grow either?? That is like expecting a promotion at work, but you have not done a thing to warrant that increase of money, position, and responsibility.

What is funny about this, is that I am not married, yet I see how this very same advice can be used and used effectively in ANY relationship.

HTC One S Review: Head-To-Head With The One X And iPhone 4S
I’ve been fiddling around with the HTC One S for a few days now, and I have to say it’s stolen a little piece of my heart. The hardware is just about perfect, with a 4.3-inch qHD display and a slender aluminum unibody shell, and software like HTC’s Sense 4 overlay and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich only sweeten the deal. But, as per usual, there’s plenty to consider out there. The wide world of mobile only grows wider by the second, with hot new phones launching left and right. Just today, Sprint’s Galaxy Nexus and the LG Viper landed on store shelves, and lest we forget that the iPhone 4S and HTC’s mamma jamma One X are also ready and waiting for new owners.
